WRITER
As well as my comprehensive blogs, I’ve also written several books, screenplays and dozens of articles about travel, filmmaking, music, life, the universe and everything.
BOOKS
I am the author of The Odyssey Expedition trilogy, the first part of which, Man of the World, was named to Kirkus Reviews’ Books of the Year for 2018.
MAN OF THE WORLD
THE ODYSSEY EXPEDITION: BOOK ONE
The Odyssey Expedition is the story of the first journey to every single country in the world without flying, a feat of such epic cunning, derring-do and dumb luck that it has become the stuff of legend. MAN OF THE WORLD covers the first year of my travels, up through the Americas, to every country in Europe, all the way down and all the way back up the great continent of Africa. MAN OF THE WORLD is available as a signed paperback, ebook and audiobook.
TOP OF THE WORLD
THE ODYSSEY EXPEDITION: BOOK TWO
TOP OF THE WORLD picks up the action from where Man of the World left off, at the timeless and ancient pyramids of Giza. I want to carry on the journey, my girlfriend wants me to call it a day. I make her a promise that I’d be in Australia by Christmas. Only Syria, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Papua New Guinea, fifty other countries and the Himalayas stood in my way.
END OF THE WORLD
THE ODYSSEY EXPEDITION: BOOK THREE
I thought that after 2 years and 184 countries, finishing off the “final few” would be easy. It was not. Island nations thousands of miles from anywhere, pirate infested waters and a series of personal tragedies turned the final two years of The Odyssey Expedition into both a psychical and emotional roller-coaster. Will I make it back home to the UK before the End of the World? You’ll have to read the book to find out.

SCREENPLAYS
It should come as no surprise that I have a somewhat fertile imagination!
Here are some of the feature-length screenplays I’ve created.
THE AMAZON
FEATURE-LENGTH SCREENPLAY
THE AMAZON tells the incredible story of Isabela Godin — a landed lady from Riobamba in what’s now Ecuador — who in 1769 set off with an entourage of over 40 people on a quest into the dark heart of the Amazon Rainforest to find the husband she had not seen nor heard from for over 20 years.
BLOODY BONES
FEATURE-LENGTH SCREENPLAY
It is 1988. 11 year-old Jack Stone, an orphan from Liverpool, must team up with his friends to enter the labyrinthine underworld that exists beneath the city streets and face his greatest fear in order to retrieve not only his brother’s lost soul, but the soul of the city itself.
INDIANA JONES AND THE HEART OF DARKNESS
FEATURE-LENGTH SCREENPLAY
(While I was in jail in Congo, I had a lot of time to think about what would make the perfect Indiana Jones movie. It would have to feature biblical relics and Nazis, that’s a given, but also voodoo, zombies and the threat of nuclear apocalypse? Hell yeah.)
Dragged out of retirement by a mysterious Israeli assassin, Dr Henry Jones Jr embarks on an electrifying quest which takes him to Jerusalem, Leningrad, Berlin and Timbuktu in order to thwart the apocalyptic schemes of a Nazi death cult that threatens to use the power of the Occult to set in motion an unstoppable chain of events that will lead to all-out nuclear war.
