I have presented professionally in over 200 countries. Pretty sure there’s another Guinness World Record in there somewhere!
Graham's World aka Lonely Planet's The Odyssey (2010)
LONELY PLANET / NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC / BBC
On my truly epic journey to every country in the world without flying, I shot and presented “Graham’s World”, an 8-part TV series which followed my adventures through the first 133 countries of The Odyssey Expedition. Graham’s World was produced by Lonely Planet, commissioned by National Geographic and distributed by BBC Worldwide. It has been broadcast in more than 70 countries around the world, including the US, Australia, India, China and South Africa.
Aegean Traveller Cyprus (2016)
In the spring of 2016 I presented a series of promotional videos for the Cypriot Tourist Board and Aegean Airlines, Greece’s national flag carrier. They involved me doing all kinds of activities all over the Republic of Cyprus, including paragliding, mountain biking, scuba diving, wine tasting and flyboarding. The videos were used to promote Cyprus on Aegean Airlines flights to and from the UK.
TED Talks (2013-2015)
I have spoken about my adventures at 7 official TED events, including at TED Active in Palm Springs, California and TEDx Salford, the biggest TEDx in the UK.
Media Appearences (2010-2020)
BBC / CBS / ITV / MSNBC / AFP / CNN / SKY / 7 / 10 / TRAVEL / TVNZ / NAT GEO
I have amassed a rather impressive resumé of appearances for television and radio, all over the world.
The Odyssey Expedition (2009 - 2013)
As well as making the Graham’s World series for Lonely Planet, I was allowed to put together my own shorter videos of my journey for YouTube while on the road.
Fawlty Tours (1999-2020)
I don’t go anywhere without my trusty camcorder. That has resulted in some exceptionally silly tour videos, ad-libbed, informative and designed to make you chuckle, such as this one I made of the real-life Ghostbusters locations in New York.
Not Charlie Brooker's Bum Wipe 2017
Since Charlie Brooker opted not to make a review of the year for 2017 (and after the clusterf–k that was 2016, would could blame him?), I decided to make it myself. Very NSFW.
Graham Hughes's Pubcast (2018-2020)
Beginning life as the legendary “Three Blokes In The Pub” series, the idea behind “Pubcast” was based on the joke that in the wake of the Brexit referendum, the UK was sick of experts and would only listen to the “bloke down the pub”. So I got together a bunch of experts to meet me in the pub.
The Résistance (2017-2020)
Sometimes you just have to get the camera out and have a good old fashioned rant. That’s what The Résistance was all about.
