One of the things that I enjoy more than anything is inspiring people to make the most of their short time on this planet. I’ve been asked to give seven separate TED Talks, and have spoken at conferences and after-dinner events as diverse as Thinking Digital, The Century Club, Eton College, The Telegraph Adventure Show, Durham University, The British School Kuwait, The British Embassy Kinshasa, The Rotary Club Bali, The Bocas Bookstore Panama, and the Liverpool Palm House.
Being asked to talk at a TEDx event is an honour, but being flown over to the US to give a talk at one of the annual TED events in California is a truly humbling experience. Especially when said talk ends with a standing ovation.
Of all the TEDx events I’ve spoken at (including TEDx Brixton, Bath, Liverpool and Salford), TEDx Sheffield was my favourite. Here I talk about my travels in a bit more detail, augmented with video footage specially put together for the talk.
My standard fee for a talk of up to one hour anywhere in the UK is £1,000.
I’m happy to negotiate my standard fee depending on the audience, travel distance and future work.
