Here’s a little playlist to give you a flavour of my travels. First up is One Second Every Country, a quick shot of me in every country in the world that went viral back in 2013. Next is Graham vs The World, which brings together my global adventures back in 2002 to the beat of Basement Jaxx. Then there’s one of me doing the Nevis Highwire bungee jump, the highest in the world at that time.
Finally, from the guy famous for not flying(!), there’s a video about flying – over the Nazca Lines in Peru, Mount Everest and the Great Barrier Reef before I jump out of a plane in over Magnetic Island, Australia.
Last Exit to Serbia!
So I enjoyed a good few adventures before embarking on The Odyssey Expedition. One of which was an insane road trip around Europe with my mate Stan in a fifteen-year old Mazda MX-5 called Traci Lords. We managed to take in over 15 countries in less than a week (just for the hell of it), stopping in on Ljubljana, Liechtenstein, Sarajevo, Dubrovnik, Pristina and Dracula’s Castle in Romania as well as the Exit Festival in Novi Sad, northern Serbia. This is a very silly travelogue and as such should not be watched by anyone.
The Gringo Trail
South America is a wonderful place to be a backpacker. This series of videos takes you from the utter magnificence of the Iguazu Falls to Christ the Redeemer in Rio, from the high crisp Salt Plains of Uyuni to the steamy rainforest of Rurrenabaque, along the Inca trail to the Nariz del Diablo (Devil’s Nose) railway of Ecuador.
The Wizards of Oz
One of my first big adventures was a road-trip around Australia with my then-girlfriend Mandy. We stuffed our belongings in a clapped-out old Holden panel van called Monty and drove from Melbourne along the Great Ocean Road to Adelaide, up through Alice Springs to Darwin and then down the East Coast, from Townsville down to Sydney before heading back to Melbourne via Sydney.
We clocked up over 10,000 kilometres in just under two months. Along the way we stopped off at Lake Eyre, Uluru (Ayers Rock), Kakadu National Park, The Great Barrier Reef and climbed to the summit of Mt Kosciusko – the highest mountain in the continent. Watch out for the kangaroos.
A Greek Odyssey
Another road-trip with Mandy, this time around mainland Greece in the spring; taking in the Parthenon of Athens, the Oracle of Delphi, the monasteries of Meteora, the slate villages of Zagorohoria, the caves of Perama, the island of Corfu and the port of Patras.
